Baby wild bunny by Ninachan3 Baby wild bunny by Ninachan3
On July 5, I saw this little bunny in my backyard. Even though I used a telelens(long lens) I was still able to get right next to the baby^^ By the looks of it, it was only a few weeks old. My hand was slightly larger than the bunny, and I have small hands!

My boyfriend found and kept two baby rabbits :D
But sadly, they passed :crying:
They looked like this but brown.

How long did they live? My first bunny looked a lot like this too, but she had to be put to sleep at age two after she broke her back.

Not even a month. One died from the heat, and the other I don't remember how :/

I'm sowwy for your poor bunny ):

Sounds like Snowy. We had her and Midnight for 2 weeks when Snowy died. She was sick when we got her and Midnight then got the same illness. Thankfully she got to the vet immediatly. The heat is brutal to bunnies, I've been trying to make sure Midnight's water bottle is always full in the summer. Stupid heat wave.

Summer's horrible here in South Carolina, I don't think those bunnies stood a chance!

Evil heat! Midnight thankfully is in a nice cool room right now, outside it feels about 100.

I haven't seen this one since. Maybe you can keep the baby as a true pet. Seems like you've domesticated it already:XD:

The thing is, I never even intended to domesticate it. lol I'd feel bad taking it out of it's natural environment.

There are some born into captivity that are released into the wild and left on their own. If they survive, they become wild and never trust humans again.

The bunny's sibling hopped away, letting me see the bunny. I'm surprised it stayed still long enough for me to grab my camera. I got so close all I had to do was reach out my arm and I could've pet the baby, mama wouldn't like that though.
